Businesses in the City of Canada Bay can now register for a FREE ‘Bin Trim’ waste assessment to help you reduce waste and recycle more. This will

  • save money on waste collection costs
  • reduce waste sent to landfill
  • enhance your corporate reputation.

The Bin Trim project is funded by the NSW EPA which aims to assist small to medium sized businesses reduce their waste. For more  Download the brochure here.

Council has already carried out around 222 Bin Trim waste assessments for City of Canada Bay businesses over the past two years which has increased recycling by 1171 tonnes p.a.. This has resulted in annual cost savings for businesses ranging from a few hundred dollars up to $10,000, depending upon the size of the business and existing waste arrangements.

What is involved?

Step 1 – Complete registration form provided by your Bin Trim Assessor.
Step 2 – Initial waste assessment conducted to survey waste and recycling potential (20-30 minutes)
Step 3 – Assessor provides a tailored Waste Reduction Action Plan
Step 4 – The business implements the action plan. Assessors will assist with advice, research, resources and obtaining quotes.
Step 5 – Follow up assessment: Assessor returns to your business to review your progress and provide further support.

How to register:
