Mayor’s Giving Trees assist St Vincent de Paul Society

29 November 2017 | Community

Mayor Angelo Tsirekas invites the community to kindly support the Mayor’s Giving Trees, which are now up at Council’s Civic Centre, Drummoyne and Five Dock and Concord Libraries.

Christmas is a special time of the year. It’s a time to think about those less fortunate and we ask you to give generously and support our Giving Trees.

All items will be donated to and distributed by our five local St Vincent de Paul Society conferences across the City of Canada Bay, whose volunteers work tirelessly to ensure those experiencing disadvantage can have an enjoyable Christmas. Some of the items that are always needed include new toys, tinned and packaged foods, toiletries and gift cards (Visa, Coles etc).

The Giving Tree is now up at Council’s Civic Centre in Drummoyne and donations are also being accepted at Five Dock and Concord Libraries. Please place donations under the tree by 10am on Friday, 15 December.

This year, many businesses in Concord West Village have kindly agreed to collect donations on Council's behalf. You can therefore also drop off your gifts at the following locations by Tuesday, 12 December (within business hours):
