Deed of Variation Voluntary Planning Agreement - Rhodes West Station Precinct

A draft deed of variation has been prepared to amend the existing Voluntary Planning Agreement (VPA) between the City of Canada Bay Council and Walker Street Development Pty Ltd (the Developer) dated 8 February 2016.  The VPA relates to land at Marquet and Walker Streets in Rhodes comprising the following land – Lot 1345 DP 558798, Lot 1 SP 37320, Lot 3 & 4 DP 52278, Lot 21 DP 624240, Lot 1 & 2 DP 15734 and Lot 101 DP 624798.

The proposed amendments to the VPA include:

  • The submission of a concept design of the Recreation Centre to Council by 28 December 2017;
  • Clarification of the process related to the submission of  the concept design and detailed design of the Recreation Centre;
  • The submission of a Development Application for the development on 34 Walker Street, including the Recreation Centre by 15 February 2018;

The draft deed of variation which proposes to give effect to the above changes will be on public exhibition for a period of 28 days.
