Duty Planner

In order to assist you in understanding Council’s planning controls and the development assessment process, Council provides a free duty planner service from 8.30am to 1pm, Monday to Friday at our offices, 1A Marlborough Street, Drummoyne.

To access this service, you will need to book an appointment through our online booking system. Simply follow the steps below.

The service is designed to provide preliminary advice on planning-related matters associated with properties and development proposals. Due to the high demand on this service, we are unable to go through all of Council’s controls in detail or provide a thorough assessment of any development proposal you may be considering.

If you require this level of detailed advice, you can arrange a meeting with Council’s DA Pre-Lodgement Panel. It is recommended that you use this Panel rather than the Duty Planner service for any large or more complex proposals, particularly if you would like a written advice on your proposal prior to lodging any development application.

If you wish to book a Duty Planner appointment, please answer the following questions:

Is your enquiry related to exempt and complying development?
