“It’s really important we teach our kids safe water skills when they’re in and around the pool. It will provide them with confidence and the ability to remain safe when around water. There are just too many drownings each year,” Mayor Angelo Tsirekas said.
The popular S.P.L.A.S.H (swim play laugh all summer holidays) vacation care program is back at Cabarita and Drummoyne Swimming Centre for three weeks in January; starting from Monday, 4 January. The program is run Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm and is full of fun activities. Qualified staff members will be supervising all of the activities in the Centre and surrounding park. S.P.L.A.S.H is designed for school children aged 5-12 years. The cost is $39; lunch and snacks are not included.
Cabarita and Drummoyne Swimming Centres are also having a five-day Intensive Swim Program to help speed up your child’s progress in the pool. The Intensive program will commence on Monday, 4 January and the cost is $75.
