Classes run from 10am to 12pm and cover the basics of using the internet, email and social media. Residents can book into one of the following classes:

“The City of Canada Bay is home to a diverse community and we believe everyone has the right to be connected regardless of age or background,” said City of Canada Bay Mayor Angelo Tsirekas.

“We’re proud to be facilitating programs that give residents the ability to become more engaged with our community while also remaining connected to their own culture.”

Local resident Mr Saitis uses his newly acquired tech skills to use Skype, listen to the radio and access Greek television. “It was really helpful to have the classes in my Greek language,” he said.

“It’s important to give people like Mr Saitis the opportunity to develop the skills and confidence to use technology, to access services, conduct personal business and to socialise,” said Mayor Angelo Tsirekas.

The Tech Savvy Seniors initiative is a partnership between the NSW Government and Telstra, providing free or low cost technology training to seniors through NSW public libraries.

Bookings are essential as there is a limit of 10 people per class. To book, phone Concord Library on 9911 6210 or visit our What’s on website: .
