Ferragosto is returning to Great North Road, Five Dock this month and it’s bigger and better than ever.

Join over 100,000 Sydneysiders and visitors in the heart of Five Dock on Sunday, 20 August from 10am–5pm to enjoy the best of Italian culture and cuisine.

“Ferragosto is a great day out for the whole family with plenty of traditional Italian food and entertainment on offer,” City of Canada Bay Mayor Angelo Tsirekas said.

“Last year’s festival attracted record crowds and we’re expecting an even bigger turnout this year.”

Following the Italian tradition, this year’s festival will be preceded by a procession to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption along Great North Road.

“We are thrilled to again invite our local Italian community to take part in the procession, which begins at the corner of Lyons Road and Great North Road at 9:30am and will be led by Bishop Daniel Meagher,” said Mayor Tsirekas.

For the foodies…

Make sure to come hungry! With over 150 food and merchandise stalls to browse, there’ll be something for everyone. Enjoy a vast array of traditional treats including gelato, coffee, arancini, gnocchi and pizza.

Ferragosto 2023 Presenting Partner, Mayers Fine Food, will also be creating custom Baci cannoli especially for Ferragosto and delicious antipasto packs to enjoy on the day. Visitors to their stall can also go in the running to win a free Illy coffee machine!

Ferragosto’s kitchen stage, FerraCucina, will feature over five hours of competitions and demonstrations from celebrity chefs Anna Simon and Luca Ciano and more.

And don’t forget to visit FerraPiazza, where you can taste a range of quality wines, or the Birra Moretti Beer Garden where visitors can escape the crowds to enjoy a refreshing glass of crisp lager or wine and a special Ferragosto pizza by chef Luca Ciano.

For the family…

There will be free carnival rides, spectacular dance and music performances across three stages, a petting zoo, fun competitions, street performers and a FerraCinema, where families can stop and recharge while watching an Italian movie.

Meanwhile, the revheads out there won’t want to miss the dazzling show of Italian engineering with a selection of Vespas and Mini Fiats on display.
