The City of Canada Bay has commenced work on its $280,000 landscape upgrades to Bayview Park, Concord.
"These much-needed upgrades will help our community to better enjoy our brand-new Bayview Park swim site," said City of Canada Bay Mayor Angelo Tsirekas.
"The project will include new parking spots and pathways to improve access, as well as new plantings and upgrades to existing picnic tables and shelters."
Due for completion later this year, the project will also see the existing ferry shelter replaced with an improved design that prioritises safety and accessibility.
In November 2022 Bayview Park Baths reopened to the public after being closed for 60 years. Since then, hundreds of families have flocked to the park to picnic and cool off during the summer months.
These park upgrades will provide our community with the infrastructure they need to best enjoy the park and the swim site.
This $280,000 project is proudly funded by the NSW Government in association with the City of Canada Bay.
