Love Your Place
Your business could adopt a local park, street, or stretch of foreshore through our Love Your Place program and agree to love it and keep it clean and litter-free for others to enjoy. It’s a fun and tangible way for your business to give back to the local community, and Council will supply everything that you need to keep your adopted place clean.
Clean Up Australia Day
Held annually on the first Sunday in March, Clean Up Australia Day is a national event to clean up litter from our environment. The event is supported by the City of Canada Bay and registrations open in November each year.
The City of Canada Bay usually hosts two free barbecues from 10am-12.30pm for all volunteers at the following Council supervised Clean-Up sites:
- Rodd Park, Rodd Point
- Rhodes Foreshore Park, Rhodes with the Resource Recovery Team
You and your workmates can join an existing Council site or register your own, and if the first Sunday in March doesn’t suit you, you can also register and run a clean-up at any time of year.
