How long it takes to resolve matters

The City of Canada Bay aims to resolve matters and complete works as quickly as possible. Some matters can be resolved more quickly than others.

It is recommended that you contact Council through one of the official channels, instead of using Snap Send Solve.

The City of Canada Bay is not affiliated with Snap Send Solve, and using the app may result in delays in responding to your matter.

  • Illegally parked vehicles

Within hours

  • Sport field maintenance

Between 1-4 weeks, depending on the matter

Matters such as lawn mowing and re-marking a field can be resolved more quickly than those related to facilities such as toilets.

  • Road, footpath, playground, and park furniture maintenance

Approximately 4-6 weeks

Council will inspect the maintenance issue and determine what work is required.

  • Traffic issues, such as roundabouts and pedestrian crossings

Between 3-12 months, and sometimes longer depending on the nature of the issue.

Traffic issues can take time to resolve because they usually require a traffic study or extensive investigation, before being reviewed by the City of Canada Bay Traffic Committee.

  • Building non-compliance

Reports of non-compliance can take some time to investigate. If you wish to report a building compliance matter, and Council is not the certifier, you must contact the building's certifier by email in the first instance before contacting Council.
