Clare Hooper works boldly with colour, line, and form. Her sense of colour is dynamic and exciting, taking us to a new vibrant world.
Clare's artwork acts as a response to her surroundings, the things she sees and her research on animals; combining in her final works in expressive and imaginative ways. Spontaneity is the key to her practice where the images flow with lyrical fun, often showing adorable naïve characters that play on the canvas.
Over the last five years, Clare has worked with an artist to develop her skills and produce saleable canvases, images for business cards, and occasion cards. She has also attended courses at various art schools and community colleges. In 2008 and 2009, Clare won the Disability Art Prize, North Sydney.
