Join us for an author talk with author and historian Patricia Skehan, as she discusses her new book, The Secrets of Anzac Ridge: Flanders 1917.
About the book
Across human history the stakes are often highest in war, and in WWI the thing at stake was the future of the world.
Patricia Skehan reveals riveting secrets about WWI from the diaries of James Armitage, a young Sydney man who enlisted on his eighteenth birthday, as well as the writings of General Sir John Monash, the military mastermind leading the Anzac troops. Their records of the Western Front are combined in this moving portrait of catastrophic events set on Anzac Ridge, in Flanders fields.
