2024 Rhodes Lunar New Year Dragon Carnival

Rhodes Foreshore Park will come alive with a special 2-day Dragon Carnival to celebrate Lunar New Year! This event is a community volunteer initiative, sponsored by City of Canada Bay and hosted by the Rhodes Multicultural Community Association in partnership with AB Media and TM Media. A  fantastic line-up of community cultural performances, food, music, rides and fun activities await for the whole family. We look forward to seeing you there!

Event program:

Saturday, 24 February: 10am–9:30pm

• 10am–9pm: Cambridge Markets food, stalls and rides
• 10am–5pm: Council's Community Hub and games
• 11am–12pm: Opening Ceremony featuring 100-person Dragon Dance Parade
• 12–4pm: Multicultural Community Performances
• 6–9pm: Riverside Music Program
• 9pm: Fireworks

Sunday, 25 February: 10am–4pm

• 10am–4pm: Cambridge Markets food, stalls and rides
• 10am–4pm: Council's Road Safety Info Stall and free bicycle tune-ups
• 11am–1:30pm: Rhodes Mazu Goddess of the Sea Procession and Presentation
• 11:30am–2pm: Multicultural Community Performances
