Introduction to Object Photography

The Learning Space View in maps

In this practical photography workshop series, you’ll learn how to set up a home studio to take professional photographs of small to medium-sized objects. This is perfect for anyone creating their own photos for documentation, promotion or websites, or simply for those wishing to improve their photography skills.

The workshop will run over two 90-minute sessions:

Session 1 – Tuesday, 19 July
We’ll cover the fundamentals of setting up a background, choosing the best lens, setting up lighting, compositional technique, and tidying your image in photoshop.

Session 2 – Tuesday, 26 July
Now it’s time to get creative! Apply everything you’ve learnt by bringing in your chosen object to photograph. This will be done with guidance from the facilitator.

We supply backgrounds and lighting. BYO digital camera or access ours during the workshop.

For adults, 16 years and over.

The health and safety of our community remains our top priority. This is a COVID safe event. Council is following the latest State and Federal health guidelines, and if any COVID-19 restrictions increase, this event may be cancelled or postponed.
