The Lab is a network of technology clubs for young people with autism who enjoy working with computers.
In The Lab Rhodes, we focus on technical and creative skills, supported by professionals in coding, digital design, gaming, 3D printing and more. Suited for mature teenagers, our program encourages social growth in a secure and supportive environment.
All sessions are run at The Learning Space, Rhodes on Thursday afternoons from 3:30pm to 5:30pm, for 9 weeks during school terms. Parents are welcome to stay in the library, where there are workspaces and free WiFi.
The Lab takes an unstructured approach, so every session is different! We want participants to take part in activities that interest them, not because they have to. This approach is based on The Lab's experience with hundreds of young people. The Lab is a cool and accepting place to visit, hang out, and learn while having fun.
Please note The Lab Rhodes is for participants aged 15+. We apply this age guide to target the group’s needs and interests. For younger participants aged 10+, we host The Lab Five Dock.
$419.40 for a full term (9 weeks).
