The City of Canada Bay is delighted to announce that Ebenezer Mission has been successful in their tender to operate the café at Concord Library. This announcement, made on International Day of People with Disability, marks a significant step forward in supporting a more inclusive and connected community.
Ebenezer Mission is an organization dedicated to serving and empowering children, youth, and adults with disabilities through a range of programs and services. The café will embody their mission by providing meaningful opportunities for people with disabilities while offering a welcoming and vibrant space for the entire community.
Mayor Michael Megna said the announcement will delight the community not only for the promise of a fantastic new café but also for the opportunity to champion inclusion and support for individuals with disabilities.
“The café at Concord Library will not only provide a wonderful new amenity for visitors but will also stand as a symbol of inclusivity and community spirit,” Mayor Megna said.
“Ebenezer Mission’s commitment to empowering individuals with disabilities is inspiring, and I know our community will be excited to support this initiative.”
The café, which will open in early 2025, will offer a variety of food and beverages while creating opportunities for employment and engagement for people with disabilities. This new addition to Concord Library enhances its role as a vibrant community hub and furthers the City of Canada Bay’s commitment to fostering inclusivity.
International Day of People with Disability is a global celebration aimed at promoting understanding and acceptance of people with disabilities. The City of Canada Bay is proud to champion this important day with an announcement that aligns so strongly with its values.
