The City of Canada Bay has given its residents an early Christmas present with the reopening of its beloved free putt-putt mini golf course at McIlwaine Park, Rhodes.

Following a comprehensive upgrade, the course is back and better than ever.

The course has been upgraded with an enhanced drainage system and premium synthetic turf across all nine holes.

“How many suburbs can say they’re home to a free Putt-Putt mini golf course?" City of Canada Bay Mayor Michael Megna said.

“We’re committed to providing our growing Rhodes community with high-quality, open space, and McIlwaine Park is no better example.

“I encourage everyone to grab some putters and golf balls and come down to try your luck!”

The Putt-Putt refurbishment is part of the City of Canada Bay's $1.6 million investment into the park, building on the new beach and picnic areas unveiled in late 2023.

Opening progressively over the next two months, this suite of upgrades also includes a renewed playground and the addition of a new amenities building, barbecue picnic shelters, and pathways.
