This summer, the City of Canada Bay is bringing the magic of movies to the great outdoors with a free Foreshore Flicks series.
Kicking off at 5:30pm every Friday from 24 January to 14 February, the series will feature family-friendly movies and fun activities at beautiful foreshore parks across the City of Canada Bay.
“Foreshore Flicks is a fantastic way to bring our community together to enjoy our beautiful parks and open spaces,” City of Canada Bay Mayor Michael Megna said.
“These events are family-friendly, accessible, and a great opportunity to relax and unwind as summer draws to a close.”
Each evening will include entertainment, food trucks, and activities before the film begins, making it the perfect outing for families, friends, and film enthusiasts alike.
As part of the festivities, Club Five Dock RSL will be providing boxes of popcorn for a gold coin donation.
“We’re delighted to support Foreshore Flicks and to be part of an initiative that brings people together and fosters a sense of community. There’s something special about watching a movie outdoors, and we’re thrilled to be involved in such a wonderful event,” Club Five Dock RSL CEO David Conway said.
Event sponsor Optus will also have a presence with a fun community stall and fairy floss for visitors.
“As a proud supporter of local events, we’re excited to help bring Foreshore Flicks to life. This series is a wonderful way to celebrate summer and bring the community together.” Optus General Manager of NSW Local Markets Nick Gibson said.
