Mayor’s Golf Day returns for A Bloody Great Cause

Council | 21 March 2022

This year the Mayor’s Golf Day will be returning to Massey Park Golf Club on Friday, 1 April to raise funds for the Foundation for A Bloody Great Cause.

The fundraising will support world-leading blood cancer clinical trials at the Concord Cancer Centre in Concord Hospital.

“Our annual Mayor’s Golf Day is about giving back to the community,” City of Canada Bay Mayor Angelo Tsirekas said.

“The past few years have been tougher than most and it’s important to continue the legacy. I’m delighted to be supporting a Bloody Great Cause whose staff have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic to fund research and give cancer patients greater hope for a cure.”

“We are delighted to be partnering with the City of Canada Bay this year,” said A Bloody Great Cause Fundraising Chair Susan MacGregor.

“Support from the Mayor’s Golf Day means more patients with blood cancers and other blood disorders can participate in world-leading clinical trials.”
