Children in the City of Canada have an exciting new place to play with an upgraded playground now open in North Strathfield
The $100,000 project at WA McInnes Reserve saw the old playground upgraded with inclusive play equipment, a concrete pathway, improved garden areas, sand pit equipment, public art and more.
“WA McInnes Reserve is beloved by local families and the upgraded playground provides an opportunity for people for all ages, abilities and walks of life to come together,” City of Canada Bay Mayor Michael Megna said.
“This is another example of our commitment to upgrading our playground infrastructure and continuously improving the recreational opportunities in our community.”
The project was proudly funded by the City of Canada Bay and aligns with Council’s Let’s All Play Strategy.
The new playground was designed in consultation with the community with feedback gathered throughout the planning and design stage to ensure the space was right for residents.
“I hope this new playground brings joy to families in North Strathfield and across the City of Canada Bay,” Mayor Megna said.
