The City of Canada Bay is restoring the Queen Elizabeth Park Commemorative Garden in Concord, ensuring this cherished community space continues to be a place of reflection and beauty for generations to come.
The project will revitalise the garden with restored stonework and new landscaping, enhancing the space and its surrounding circle as a prominent feature of the park.
Mayor Michael Megna said the restoration reflects Council’s ongoing commitment to preserving the character and heritage of the City’s open spaces.
“Queen Elizabeth Park holds a special place in our community, and the Commemorative Garden is an important part of that,” Mayor Megna said.
“This restoration will not only enhance the garden’s beauty but also ensure it remains a peaceful and inviting place for residents and visitors to enjoy.”
Works on the garden are expected to be completed by the end of May 2025, weather permitting.
“The Queen Elizabeth Park Commemorative Garden is a space for reflection and connection, and we’re looking forward to bringing it back to life for the community,” Mayor Megna said.
