The City of Canada Bay will be celebrating the NSW Seniors Festival with a range of fun, free activities and events across the area this month.
NSW Seniors Festival acknowledges the special role seniors play in our community and acknowledges the important contributions they make. This year the festival theme is 'Reach Beyond ' so the City of Canada Bay is encouraging residents to branch out and connect with the community by trying something new.
To mark this year’s Seniors Festival, Council is inviting senior residents with a valid concession or pension card to experience our swimming centres and Concord Oval Recreation Centre for free!
“Our senior residents are an important part of what makes the City of Canada Bay community so special. We want to ensure that they have the opportunity to prioritise their health and wellbeing, and also get involved in community life through Council programs and events, as well as our recreational spaces,” said City of Canada Bay Mayor Michael Megna.
Seniors will have free access to Cabarita and Drummoyne Swimming Centres between 11–15 March. Plus, there will be a special morning tea at Cabarita Swimming Centre on Friday, 15 March from 8–10:30am.
Over at Concord Oval Recreation Centre, the team will be opening the doors to its Fit for Life Moves and Strength classes for seniors free of charge from 11–24 March. Bookings are essential, visit our website to learn more about this opportunity.
