The City of Canada Bay has re-elected Councillor Stephanie Di Pasqua as Deputy Mayor.
Deputy Mayor Di Pasqua was elected to Council in September 2017 and is the youngest Councillor to ever serve the City of Canada Bay. She was first elected as Deputy Mayor in January 2022.
“I am really proud to have been re-elected Deputy Mayor, unopposed by my colleagues,” Deputy Mayor Di Pasqua said.
“I am looking forward to continuing in this role and feel very grateful to be given the privilege of serving the people that make Canada Bay a wonderful place to live and work,” she said.
A lifelong resident of the area, Deputy Mayor Di Pasqua was born and raised in Concord and completed her primary and secondary education in Concord and Five Dock respectively.
A strong advocate for her community, she has been involved in lobbying both the State and Federal Government about vital issues concerning City of Canada Bay residents. As a young woman in politics, Deputy Mayor Di Pasqua has advocated for more diversity in representative voices. She has been a strong supporter of initiatives that encourage more young women to run for public office and engage women and young people in politics.
Deputy Mayor Di Pasqua is a firm believer in the essential services that local government provides and advocates for good financial sustainability and strong governance. She is passionate about improving local amenity and local infrastructure in the City of Canada Bay area.
